The Foundation

The Children's Health Foundation is born on 25th November 1997, and registered in May 1998 in the Register of Foundations of the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration of Valencia, and is recognized as a partner by the Ministry of Social Welfare the Generalitat Valenciana and the Department of Social Welfare of the City of Elche.

The Foundation was created to prevent illness, disease or other conditions, which may produce a future deterioration in child's development. This project was called "Children's Neurodevelopment Program" and based on immediate newborn care with biological risk factors and/or social and pathologies at birth.

In January 1999, a cooperation agreement was signed with the enterprise Pikolinos Intercontinental SA allowing the implementation of this program.

In February 2003 started a cooperation agreement with the Major of Elche by giving a new building in the Paseo de la Juventud. These new facilities, which consists of two floors and a garden of approximately 700 m2, allowed the creation of units for the development of programs dedicated to physical and psychological health of children.
